KinderCone is about celebrating the first day of school and takes its roots from a cherished German tradition that dates back to the early 19th century. German families present their first graders with their very own Schultute (German for: school cone). KinderCone is the first company to introduce this tradition to America through a line of custom designed Schultute called KinderCones. KinderCone believes that celebrating the first day of school is a great way to start the year right and inspire children for the joys of learning that lie ahead.
"Growing up in Germany, I experienced the joy of holding a Schultüte on my first day of school and I wanted to pass this memorable tradition and excitement on to my own children. Whether you give a KinderCone for the very first time or every year as a welcome back gift, I hope to share this joy with you and your children".
Vivian Lie founded KinderCone in 2009. Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Vivian lives in Chicago with her husband and 4 young daughters.
